Guess where am I going later today? Amsterdam... and... with a friend. yay!
Hope everything goes according to plans and that soon I will be plenty of ideas/pictures to share. Also I hope I'll come back plenty of nice memories, fun moments, laughter and inspiration. For now i just cannot sleep for the excitement.

Ryuichi Sakamoto will be tomorrow in my hometown for the first time, playing with Alva Noto at the Teatro Comunale. It's so painful to have just found out and to know I won't be there. Such a unique opportunity... Obviously it's sold out. Anyway I would not be able to go.

Sometimes dreams are not so easy to catch.

Days spent on Elba Island. I loved it to the full.
Seems impossible to catch the essence of an island in few pictures, and the nicest time we spent with friends there. I guess more will follow soon.

A TRiP TO THE MaRKET

I can't tell you how much I wish for this to be my local market. That would mean I live in Japan and I could go there for the best fuji apples on earth, or the most wonderful little plants. This market was very beautiful; seen during a very short holiday in 2008.

I miss japan so much. I wonder if life will ever be so kind to me and give me the chance to live there for a while.

INSPIRaTION | WOonBEURS

... Summer is officially over and autumn officially started. Autumn to me means looking for a special appointment I try to attend each year - when possible - the WoonBeurs Amsterdam. [more pictures of the fair here]

It is such a special event for professionals as well as everyone loving everything that has to do with living, innovative design and home furnishing trends. You can stroll through the most inspiring and unique houses planned/furnished by the finest dutch magazines' stylists. There's the chance to ask professional interior stylists for advice; you can even attend to the lectures of many famous designers. I always came home plenty of inspiration and energy after visiting.

Hopefully this year I am going to the 2012 edition. Fingers crossed! Stay tuned for lots of inspiration and new fresh ideas if you too are passionate about interior design. There will be plenty of pictures to share with you.

BLuE SKy of hOME

Hey hellooo!! Since I'm back home -most of the times I've been looking up- the sky was amazing.

It has been longer than planned and the longer time ever I spent away since starting this blog. Life was very kind to me this summer and offered yet another chance to enjoy few days with friends on a lovely island [will share about that soon]. I decided to leave my  best friend computer at home, knowing I would be ready for a fresh new start in september. I declare my summer holidays officially over now.

> The fresher new start around here was little E's first day of preschool though! I must say I felt quite proud watching him hold his new big stripey bag for his school things. 8th of september -a day to remember.
Blimey time flies fast, a little man is growing >

+ I am going to take a break.

++ Did I mention before how much I like Instagram? It's so great communicating just through pictures with the minimum amount of words. Also I love the way I collect simple moments of everydaylife with it even more than what I was doing before [and that was not little, believe me].

yes ♥ home at last! how delicious does your own coffee from your own bialetti coffepot tastes... and my new yellow polkadots bowls really cheered me up ♥ then a lot of cleaning, clearing up, doing the laundry followed... well, everything got a downside.

hOMe sWEet HOme

Tomorrow we go back home. Holiday was wonderfully long this year but after being so many days away we miss our nest. Something else is kicking in: I cannot wait to work on some projects around the house that I never came round to finish. I live in that house for 6 years now but it's an on-going process, it evolves and adjust to our life style constantly, but I've got the feeling it's never finished.
Maybe that's the fun about interior design :-)
