A PORTRAIT A WEEK 21/52

A portrait of my child, once a week, every week, in 2013

The best thing ever, to me, is watching them both smiling.

LUNCH, COFFEE DATE & DINNER

All of this did not happen in the same day! Simply -during the London trip- I was lucky to meet some friends for lunch, for dinner and for coffee time. I wish I had more days so that I could contact every and each of you, I really do.
Sorry to anyone I had not the chance to meet, but thanks a lot to the ones who made my stay even more memorable.

+ A DINNER
dining out with friend is great...

...especially when you don't see them since year 2000, and when you meet new ones
they invited us to a nice place in east London
Erik entertained himself patiently (forgiving us for speaking English, a language he does not know yet)

surprise surprise: a dear friend from NY joined us. She was in London just for a couple of days.
Nothng was planned at all. Aren't we lucky?
Thank you Simone, Jay and Winnie for the lovely evening.

++ A COFFEE BREAK
I met a new friend I got to know through my blog: it was really lovely to meet her and this is what we had with our coffee (for the ones who guessed, the huge pink meringue was mine).
Thank you Marta,  for the time and nice talk we had together!
+++

+++ A LUNCH
here we had lunch with an old friend I met in Plymouth College of Graphic Design

Edu 10 years did not change you much!

sweet, loved the idea
last time I had oysters it was 2007

nothing is better for celebrations if you ask me

little Erik can take nice pictures for a 4 years old
sometimes you can find delicious orecchiette far from home
after lunch we walked back to Eduardo's lovely textile shop in Storeditch,
 but this is another story and I will tell you all about it another time

LONDON COLORS

I absolutely love how these colors happily live side by side and give each house/shop personality. If I were a Londoner, which color would I choose for my door and my house? and what would you like for yours?

A PERFECT DAY

Morning

Afternoon

If I were living in London, that is how I imagine a near-to-perfect Saturday would be: morning spent strolling along Portobello Road and afternoon at the science museum with my boys.
Anyway, that is exactly how we spent last Saturday and it was a great day. I love Portobello market -despite of the unavoidable crowds- and would spend hours there. I did not buy anything (maybe I am changing after all) but enjoyed every moment nevertheless.

The science museum was great for all of us I guess. Erik could finally see real size rockets and NASA equipment. We really do share a passion for space travelling, you know? He says he'll be an astronaut when he grows up and he'll take me on a star trek.
Lovely to know that.
