INK [...MORE BLUE]

Work in progress. Deadlines are getting tighter so I'm closed in my studio working hard. A little panic kicks in but... oh boy, I love ink! How is your weekend going?

  1. Stefania, I have no idea what you're working on but it looks s-t-u-n-n-i-n-g. I love the colours, the lines, everything! Wow!
Blogger decided to eat my previous comment. This is what I wrote - under your skating post - I must admit I can't stand ice-skating (on an ice rink, that is, haven't tried on rivers but I have a feeling that I'd like that:). By the way, have I told you that I watched Orlando over Christmas? Amd I repeating myself? I hope not...

    1. Thank you Marta, I am working hard on this in the last days since I am beyond late with this project. Fingers crossed. It is about japan, And I already missed the first deadline. If I miss this second one... I don't want to think about it. It is a bit intimidating. I am even working when I am actually in NL at the moment. Wish me luck and thanks for your support. :-)

About skating: it is much more special and magical on real frozen waters. That is true. We have a bit of ice here at the moment but i am afraid it isot enough.

  2. Good luck! I'm keeping my fingers crossed! How's it going? Have you already made it or are you finishing it at the moment?

Orlando - whimsical, strange, very good indeed. I wouldn't recommend it to my closest family and that is usually the highest compliment a movie can get in my world (when i took my siblings to see "Lost in Translation" they nearly fell asleep and simply couldn't stand it, it's usually the same story with any other non-mainstream movie, too):))) I regret I knew Tilda from other movies. I simply couldn't forget that he's a she. I loved the winter scenes - all of them. Including that brief moment with the poor, old woman carrying wood. And the ending? So bizarre and... cheerful (not sure if this is the word but let's say it is). A great story. i could just see how the plot developed from that one thought: what if somebody couldn't grow old, just because it was somebody's wish? And the gender thing - I loved how it all changed for him (then already her), how it confused and outraged everybody. And them ironically, I could see how Tilda played a very male woman and I liked it better, being a woman just suited that character more! And I confess that I felt like punching that greedy poet!:) Thank you, Stefania! It was a wonderful recommendation!

    1. Thank you so much, I need it! I am still working on it. 2 of the works are already sent off to printers, 4 are in the make but nearly there. There will be more printing on clothing garnments... I hope I will be able to share it all soon here. Drawings changed a lot since the original stage you see here.

So glad you liked Orlando, :-)))) We have the same view on it, really. I was planning to write about it in my 'movie friday' but then I am too busy with drawings. Maybe next week. I must re-watch it again. You know, Theo happened to fly in the same airplane with Tilda recently. He said she is just as she looks in films. I wish I could be there too. I would just compliment her for her performances (at least I hope I would not be too shy and say it). Films are very important to me, so good actors, or directors really give me precious gifts each time.
By the way, so funny, my family too are of the same kind of yours. You soon find out with whome to go and see certain films, isn't it?
